Release Notes
This update includes improvements across the mobile App, forms, data loading, user management and general system usability. The changes are focused on improving reliability, reducing errors and making everyday workflows smoother for technicians, supervisors and administrators.
App Beta Release (Android)
- Improved date selection to ensure correct input.
- Added the ability to invite new users as technicians directly from the App which streamlines onboarding for field teams.
- Added OK/Defect and Work Request form input types so more forms can be completed in the App without switching to the desktop.
- Work Orders can now be opened directly from Yes/No, OK/Defect and Pass/Fail form triggers which helps teams respond to issues quickly.
- When adding a photo, the App now asks whether to use the camera or select from the photo roll or file system. This gives users more control over how they capture information.
- Added a This Way Up indicator to the signature modal to help prevent upside down signatures.
- Improved alignment of photos in notifications so reports display more consistently.
Minor Updates and Bug Fixes
- Added a notes field to the Asset Panel, Edit Asset modal and Add Asset wizard to help record asset specific details more clearly.
- Fixed an issue affecting the default view on the Asset Page.
- Added sorting to the form input type dropdown which makes form configuration easier.
- Added a new Forms menu item to group related functions and improve navigation.
- Hidden the superuser role so it is only visible to superusers which improves security and reduces confusion.
- Enabled column sorting on Events, Work Orders, Work Requests and Asset tables which makes it easier to find and organise information.
- Hidden the invite card for non admin users so only authorised staff can invite new users.
- User role can now be selected when inviting users which helps ensure new users receive the correct access from the start.
Copy Asset Task List
- Users can now copy a task list from any asset to the current asset. This saves significant time when setting up similar assets and helps ensure consistency across the system.
Forms
- Added a new OK/Defect form input type to support a wider range of operational checks.
- Added a new form input type that allows users to create work requests directly from a form. Requests added this way are displayed against the form step and can be edited if required.
- For Pass/Fail, Yes/No and OK/Defect inputs, work requests can be triggered automatically when a negative result is selected. This helps ensure issues are actioned immediately without additional steps.
Home Page
- Added a QR code link to the Android App to make it easier for users to download the App without searching for it.
Invite Users
- Invite user functionality is now active. Users receive a link to accept the invitation and are added directly to the correct database.
- Invitation links expire after 48 hours for improved security.
Data Loading
- Fixed an issue with Parts Import so parts can now be loaded correctly.
- Added a template for parts import to make bulk loading easier.
Administration
- Successful logins are now recorded in the global user database for improved audit tracking.
Settings
- Added a setting to define the default asset view (panel, table or cards). This allows organisations to choose the layout that best suits their workflow.
