Edit KPI Targets
The Targets section in Models & Groups allows you to set benchmark performance values for each Category and Class of assets in Samurai. These targets are used for reporting and KPI analysis, helping you compare actual performance against defined standards.
The Category Targets and Class Targets lists are automatically generated from the categories and classes available in your system. Each entry includes target values for:
- Availability (%) – the expected operational uptime
- Utilisation (%) – the target percentage of productive use
- MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) – the target reliability rate between failures
- MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) – the expected average repair duration
These targets are used in the Utilisation Dashboard and related reports to compare actual asset performance against your defined benchmarks.
Editing Targets
- Go to Reference Tables → Models & Groups → Targets
- Select either Category Targets or Class Targets
- Click the Edit icon next to a record to update the target values
- Adjust the Availability, Utilisation, MTBF, and MTTR as required
- Optionally, toggle Include in KPIs to control whether the class or category contributes to KPI calculations
Defining clear and realistic targets provides valuable context when reviewing performance dashboards and reports, helping identify assets, classes, or categories that are underperforming or exceeding expectations.
