Performance Dashboard

The Performance Dashboard is a full-screen board designed to run on a TV in the workshop, crib room or control room. It cycles through a series of screens automatically, showing fleet status, what is down, utilisation and reliability by department, and upcoming planned downtime, so everyone can see how the fleet is tracking without logging in to a computer.

Go to Dashboards → Performance Dashboard.

The Performance Dashboard is not switched on for any role by default. Ask your administrator to add it to your role. See User Roles.

The screens

The dashboard moves through the following screens in order, then starts again. The title at the top of the page changes to show the current screen.

  1. Operating Status - All Assets: fleet totals for Total Assets, Down, Stand By, Planned, Breakdowns and Overdue
  2. Currently Down: assets that are down, one department at a time, showing the asset, site, time down, estimated return, down hours, reason and type
  3. Utilisation and Reliability: KPIs for each asset, one department at a time, including utilisation, availability, stoppages, MTBF and MTTR
  4. Asset Performance Cards: a card for each asset showing its availability, MTBF and MTTR
  5. Planned Events: upcoming planned downtime, showing department, scheduled start and end, duration and location

If a screen has more rows than fit on one page, it shows each page in turn before moving on.

Pausing the dashboard

Click the pause button at the top right to stop the dashboard cycling, for example to discuss a screen in a meeting. Click play to resume.

Timing

Each page stays on screen for the dashboard refresh interval, and the data reloads at the same rate. Both the interval and the number of rows per page are set in App Settings → Dashboard. See Dashboards.

Choosing departments

By default, the Currently Down and Utilisation and Reliability screens cycle through every department that has assets. Your administrator can limit the dashboard to selected departments with the Performance Dashboard setting in App Settings → Assets. Contact Samurai support if you need help changing it.

Tips

  • Set up a dedicated user for the TV screen with access to the Performance Dashboard only.
  • Use your browser's full-screen mode (F11 on most computers) so the dashboard fills the screen.
