This release improves purchasing, plant hire invoicing, Work Order costing, and everyday asset administration.

Purchasing and Xero

  • Purchase Orders can now be cancelled from Samurai, with related Work Order costs and part statuses updated to reflect the cancellation.
  • Purchase Order statuses now synchronise from Xero, so teams can see when an order has been sent, cancelled, or rejected without manually reconciling both systems.
  • A new financial transaction log provides a clearer history of Purchase Order activity, with improved navigation, filtering, pagination, and transaction details.
  • Purchase Orders can now be previewed directly from the list, and Purchase Order numbers provide a quicker route to edit an order.
  • Purchase Order panels now support sorting and grouping, including an ungrouped view. Group selections and collapsed sections are retained while working in the list.
  • Asset filtering is now available for Purchase Orders, including orders linked to legacy Work Orders, with searchable and paginated asset selection.
  • Service lines are consolidated more reliably when creating Purchase Orders, and ordered services retain the correct status when a Work Order is edited.
  • Non-stock receipts no longer show a misleading put-away prompt.
  • Xero operations are more resilient, including safer invoice retries, more reliable Purchase Order cancellation, clearer failure handling, and correct due-date and account-code handling.

Plant hire and invoicing

  • Plant hire invoices can now be sent directly to Xero. Customer records can also be synchronised to Xero, including longer customer names and improved address selection.
  • Invoice review has been streamlined with clearer meter-reading decisions, persistent accepted readings, more useful warnings, and timestamps displayed in the Asset's timezone.
  • Daily and weekly rates now show only the controls relevant to their billing method. Daily rates support selectable chargeable weekdays, and invoice calculations respect those selections.
  • Billing defaults to the previous month, while invoice dates and invoice numbers are handled more reliably throughout creation and update workflows.
  • Invoice calculations now restore original values correctly when overrides are cleared and recalculate affected periods when Asset assignments change.
  • Plant rate currency settings now save and refresh consistently, including sensible defaults for existing or newly created rates.
  • Invoice PDFs have an improved layout and can include invoice notes, customer payment terms, and the appropriate Site or Department bank details.
  • Revenue accounts can now be selected for plant hire invoices sent to Xero, with improved tax and account-code handling.
  • Project customer lists are easier to use with alphabetical sorting, enhanced search, and badges that identify the customer source.

Work Orders and costs

  • Work Order cost summaries now distinguish estimates from actual costs, preventing purchased parts, ERP costs, and labour from being counted twice.
  • Manual labour costs and zero-value cost overrides are preserved when Work Orders are edited.
  • Changing a Task on a Work Order no longer removes purchased items, and Purchase Order status actions are protected when linked purchasing activity already exists.
  • Saving Work Order services is more reliable when Purchase Order status information is present.
  • Empty cost-estimate rows are cleaned up automatically, keeping Work Order cost details accurate and easier to review.

Assets, tasks, and people

  • The Add Asset workflow now selects Asset groups more reliably and avoids stale group information when users move quickly between selections.
  • Asset lists now debounce search requests and ignore stale results, preventing older results from replacing a newer search.
  • Asset specification tables have clearer, more accessible sorting controls and improved dark-theme styling.
  • Users with the appropriate access can now invite people directly from the Users page.

Site and Department administration

  • Site or Department records can now store bank details for use on plant hire invoices, with access limited to authorised users and relevant Plant Hire customers.
  • Editing a top-level Site or Department now preserves its hierarchy type and available parent options correctly.
